A recent 14-car pileup in Yamaguchi, Japan resulted in possibly the most expensive car crash in history. Eight Ferraris and several other luxury vehicles – including three Mercedes-Benzes and one Lamborghini – were involved.
The total value of the fourteen cars involved in the wreck: $3.85 million.
The cars were driving from Kyushu to Hiroshima, as part of a foreign car enthusiast drive, when one car lost control. The 60-year-old man suspected of causing the pileup faces three months in prison.
