President Obama appeared on a Super Bowl pre-game show to invite GOP Leaders and Congressional Democrats to a live televised health-care summit. The purpose would be to go through all ideas from Democrats and Republicans and then pick the best ideas in order to write a plan to fix the health care issues in America.

Republicans responded initially that they would be willing only if the existing bills would be thrown out so that there would be a fresh start. Certainly, a Republican participation would be a huge gamble as well: Obama would have the home town advantage and could easily make the Republicans look belligerent and uncooperative. On the flip side, Obama could be hammered by the Republicans making him look weak and ineffectual. Stay tuned!
